More balance between kingdoms?

Post by Dunadd »

I know kingdoms aren't all meant to be equal in potential military or magic power, and that's fine, but how about a bit more balance between human and non-human ones?

E.g High elves, who you would think would be the most magical kingdom, their top level spell gets them just +5 diplomatic rating with other kingdoms temporarily. Dragonhold , which already gets to recruit 6 dragon units, also gets wyverns and also gets a spell that does 1 to 100 damage to every unit in an enemy army!

How about giving those wyverns to the Iron Barony instead (orcs having wyvern riders is fairly common in fantasy), and some of the massively powerful damage spells Dragonhold has to High Elves instead? (Dragonhold already has dragons, Dragon Knight infantry - almost as good as High Elf swordsingers, but a standard unit, so unlimited numbers of them)
