Do we know if the BHGS Fairies that keep taps on the Rankings will be releasing a new set before Warfare?

Re: Warfare 2015 14/15 November 2015
is it because you think you have gone up in the rankings following your placing at the BHGS Doubles?
Or because to expected to be above Ray and me?

No, I'm actually what to know I I have dropped as only scored 38pts

We don't believe that a score of 38 lowers your average Nigel...
I am also not quite sure how Jim will react to being called one of the Fairies...

That sent me back to the book to check I hadn't missed something! Not quite. It starts in 1609, and the period is 1559-1618AD.alasdair2204 wrote:Just a thought

I thought 1609 was the start of the 12 year Truce and the list starts at the end of the truce, on bottom of page 10 is says it covers the armies from 1621-1639, but that specifically refers to Low Countries, you could argue as long as it isn't in the low countries it could be the earlier date and with the musket restriction it has to be the army of Italy, to be fair don't mind was just surprised as I thought it out of period
Doesn't really matter as looks like all weekend will be spent seeing how many cuirassiers I can avoid
Personally I thinks its appalling all these players going for cavalry armies, shouldn't be allowed, Martin have a word
(Three of my favourite armies Tatars, Early Danish and Later Austrian)
cheers

Re: Warfare 2015 14/15 November 2015
I certainly didn't read the list(s) (the Early Spanish list specifically says that it ends in 1609, and presumably there was a Spanish army from 1610 onwards, albeit that there was the 12-year truce) as saying that it doesn't start until 1621. As you point out, Alasdair, it does say that it covers Low Countries Spanish armies from 1621, but the Italian armies are left more open.
The FOG lists are, in general, much easier to list-check from than the DBM and DBMM ones, but the latter always do always have a date-period stamped across the top, rather than being buried in the text.
All that said, I am still waiting for Paul to come back to me with his corrections!

Look, it was Gordon's decision to use Tatars at the Doubles.alasdair2204 wrote:Personally I thinks its appalling all these players going for cavalry armies, shouldn't be allowed, Martin have a word

Get over it! I have.
Dave
(No way I'm ever using a cavalry army again
