Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
Everyone knows the importance of the Pacific Theatre during World War II. Some of the bloodiest battles of the whole conflict were fought on the wide oceans and in the deep jungles. After three years and thousands of dead on all sides the Japanese Empire was destroyed and a new balance of power was established.
But this conflict started earlier than the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour. China saw its own borders constantly menaced and, after many “incidents”, on July 7th of 1937 Japan began a large invasion of the Chinese soil. A nominally united China was still fighting its own internal wars and was initially ill-prepared for the onslaught leading to the Japanese forces conquering an impressive amount of land but at the cost of overstretching its lines..
The Second Sino – Japanese War has begun!
Order of Battle: Pacific after the release of the successful free update Battle of Britain, comes back to the Pacific Theatre, covering one of the cruellest but most underrated conflicts of the Second World War period..
From the Product Page
“Players take control over the Japanese forces fighting for territorial expansion and rich Chinese resources. The conflict soon turns into a massive all-out war between the two sides during the Battle of Shanghai. While the Chinese forces are numerically superior, they have suffered from internal conflict and are poorly equipped with outdated weapons. The recently modernised Japanese Army on the other hand is well trained and experienced, but as the war drags on it gets increasingly overstretched, allowing the enemy to regain the initiative at several occasions...”

Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
Does anyone know if the Beta will be handled through Steam?
Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
No, but you should be able to apply regardless of whether you have the Steam or Slitherine version.
Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
In order to apply, i should own the base game? Or can i apply in the beta without it?
Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
yes, owning the base game is a prerequisite of the beta or any beta unless the new beta is a standalone product that is and mentioned as suchTmark wrote:In order to apply, i should own the base game? Or can i apply in the beta without it?
but as this needs the base game re
this post from the developer above ^^ implies you need either version of the base game to use or be on the beta. No, but you should be able to apply regardless of whether you have the Steam or Slitherine version.
Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
I was a bit hesitant to apply as I just won't be able to test as much as I want to and probably won't be able to test all scenarios, but let's see.
Re: Order of Battle: Morning Sun Beta Call
Hi, we're actually looking at a way to allow you to test this version of the game whether you own the original Order of Battle or not! Please do sign up if you want to be considered!

Each Pacific Campaign has 12, so there's not that much difference.calmhatchery wrote:Are you sure that 11 scenarios it is enough for this campaign ?. It would be great, that unit core experience can be transfer to another campaign...from MORNING SUN to PACIFIC (it is example) Not all units but some of units . Let say 10 % units from all army from previous campaign. I read that some of Japanese divisions from Kwantung army was transported from china to some islands on Pacific front....what do you think?

Yes. 11 big scenarios can be enough...

Even that MORNING SUN campaign finish in 1945. It is no problem. After finish "Morning SUN" and starting PACIFIC campaign in DECemeber 1941 the core experience can be transfer from MORNING SUN from the time point: december 1941
. SO on the begining PACIFIC campaign we can have some of elite unit with core and experience from the previous MORNING SUN campaign....what do you think people?
