Saw so many great comments had to buy the game. Yes the AI is good almost too good as it seems to easily react quicker, better and with great ability to destroy.
So far game is love/the for me. Maybe I should read the rule book instead of jumping in after tutorials?
Things hard to adjust too:
Often not being able to move even one square only option may be turning one spot.
Not being able to move or turn at all if in melee. Yes if you were flanked you stay flanked each and every turn.
Great difficult moving into position related to first comment above. From as little as two squares away it can take several turns between turning and moving to finally be able to attack (if the AI hasn't attacked your moving unit already " they sure seem to be much more able at moving and turning quickly.
Tired of low morale or quality troops losing many per turn while the AI unit loses little.
I played the first two 30yr Historical scenarios and on pretty low difficulty won after several tries. Since I haven't been able to win any scenarios as my army always breaks first.
Glad I bought in. It is fun and challenging, but this poor baffled old guy needing to learn new tactics or may lose interest I suppose.
Any great strategy and tactics out there you can suggest?
