Can coop scenarios made on a PC be ported to IOS
Hello everyone!
My buddy and I are apparently the only people who play BA2 coop multiplayer on the IOS. We're quickly running out of scenarios that have that "human" touch; randomly generated Quick Battles tend to be a tad "samey".
My question is this: if I generate/modify additional coop scenarios using a PC version of BA2, is there any way I can copy those scenarios over to my iPad so I can play them iPad-to-iPad COOP?
If so, I'll definitely be buying the PC version!
Thanks

Yes. The iPad can play any scenario created by the desktop editors. You can then bring them into the iPad version either by making them official campaigns (which means they need to be well tested and you should be happy to share them with others!) or via private links (see here: http://www.slitherinebravo.net/GameWiki ... y_platform )
So get creating!

Ok, so this is a little intimidating since I'm not the brightest candle on the cake. Suppose I am able to edit an existing battle from the Kursk bundle for Multiplayer Coop and I put it in Dropbox so my iPad can get to it. How do I bring up BA2 on the iPad so it can play it?
Thanks!

If you have uploaded the CPF file and set up an LST file to point to it then you need to paste the link to the LST into the popup you get when you use the user download button. IIRC (I don't actually have it in front of me!) it's top right of the download screen (you get to the download screen via the folder-looking button top left in the main campaign list).

Note that dropbox can be a little tricky - the normal link it gives you is to a webpage, you need (IIRC) a link which ends with &dl=1

Hmmm.. So I assume the game editor on the PC creates a CPF file that I upload to Dropbox? Who or what has an LST file? Is this a file on the iPad's BA2? Is there some sort of special dialog that you can run on the iPad that asks you for a download location?pipfromslitherine wrote:If you have uploaded the CPF file and set up an LST file to point to it then you need to paste the link to the LST into the popup you get when you use the user download button. I'm starting to think that buying the PC version to edit missions on it may be beyond the limits of my technical ineptitude...

Ok, I think more of the process is starting to make sense. I imagine I can find the .LST somewhere in the PC version and modify it. Perhaps it will have several .LST files for battles already accessible and I'll be adding my LST to the list.pipfromslitherine wrote:Creating the LST file etc is explained in http://www.slitherinebravo.net/GameWiki ... y_platform
How do I install the LST onto my iPad? I'm not sure how to access the iPad directory structure.

It's done via the game download screen.

Oh yeah, another question: if I mod a Kursk scenario for Coop, can my friend join the game if he didn't buy Kursk as well?

No, you both need to have the Kursk expansion to play the maps.
