Armageddon Collector's Edition is kaput

First Post, so Yay. And then, Boo! Game no longer works.

Purchased Warhammer 40,000 Armageddon Collector's Edition ran through some scenarios with only an odd error about fonts that did not prevent the game from playing. Patched with what I assume is the most recent patch from the Game Start Menu. Game no longer runs. Receiving the following errors: (see attached)

Also, receiving errors for the “Options” function from the Game Menu. Already updated, “Run this program as an administrator.” In addition my Microsoft Word is now set to an odd default font?

Uninstalling the game leaves the following residual files:

102 MB (107,660,253 bytes)
343 Files, 64 Folders

Do you have this ‘ArmageddonCE.rar’ in a ‘.zip’ file? As I’m unable to unpack it or view the file you want me to edit. Note: I already tried this…

- Open UI/settings.gui
- Replace all references to the nasty font with something else. If you have troubles with "caslon-antique_fr.ttf", replace "caslon-antique_fr.ttf" with "caslon-antique_en.ttf" for example.

Would rather not have to update each ‘.gui’ file.

I can confirm that patch v1.08a is what makes my game unplayable. As anytime I go to the base game, it works, though with a few bugs. I would like to patch the game if possible. Additionally, it changes font settings on my computer. Enjoying the game, just not the problems.

Also, when I tried to patch this last time I got this warning from MS?

To expand a little, it appears that upon opening the offending files…

‘caslon-antique_fr’ font file is actually “Arial”

and

‘caslon-antique_ru’ font file is actually “heuristica”

Thank you, VPaulus. After applying the file and re-patching, have not had any of the earlier problems. Again, thanks for addressing my game problems.
