Re: Nato mod
There is another option: make the darker nato symbol (I also put yellow more darkened)

Re: Nato mod
And give the light grey to the rest? nah, the SE and yellow border can be enough. they are bonus units not something to highlight too much. the common units must be seen above all the same for enemies.
if only these could be given to auxiliary units...anything else dont make sense to me to be light colored.

Re: Nato mod
Hello,
I put "Kradschützen" in recon class.
"Kradschützen in Flames Of War:
The role of the Kradschützen is to reconnoitre ahead of the tanks and motorised infantry, investigating the conditions ahead and locating the main body of enemy troops. Faced with heavy opposition, they seek a way to bypass the enemy.
Kradschützen Platoons use the Blitzkrieg Motorcycle Reconnaissance rules on page 13 and are Reconnaissance Platoons while mounted."

Re: Nato mod
For bombers the attack value is against, what? hard? soft? -- Edit --> I see, is for air. Then maybe for Tactical could be change for Antitank value and for Strategic bombers Soft, since they are most used for cities etc.
And the defense value if you still want to show offensive values it can be the air attack so enemy can see if it will counter-attack with power.
For transports maybe instead of 0 it could use an icon of paradrop or glider to take in account the type of transport. Instead of the number, you know.
As always really good job ;D

Hello,
Here is a new version for the planes .
The new values are:
-At the top and to the left = Air Attack (when it is possible)
-Below and to the left = Air Defense
-At the top and to the right = Soft Attack
-Below and to the right = Hard Attack What do you think about it?

Re: Nato mod
Too many numbers, I liked more the previous one but just changing the Attack number to the most common in use something like this:
Fighter -- Air At. - Air Def.
Tactical -- Hard At. - Air Def.
Strategic B. -- Soft At. - Air Def.
Transport -- Just Air Def. (i though about an icon to fill the space that leaves using only one number but is ok anyway)
For the bombers (both tac and str) instead of air defense you can use air attack (counter attack values) if people ask for it. Maybe both.
The more simplistic stuff are always the best

Re: Nato mod
I was thinking more along the lines of:
Fighters: Air Att/Def
Tac + Strategic Bombers: Soft/Hard Att and Air Def
- BNC

Re: Nato mod
That can works too, i used 2 values to keep the pictures to what is currently done. 3 numbers in a row needs more work xP
Hey! maybe a mix of all --> Soft/Hard Attack <Icon> Air Def / Air Attack
For the bombers i mean.
EDIT: mmm, this is near the last picture now i think about it...
I will stick to 2 numbers

Re: Nato mod
I think 3 is important for bombers - Ju87s are good against hard targets but not so against soft. Fighters are perfectly fine with two though.

Re: Nato mod
Thats why i said Hard attack for Tactical. I have to see a tactical bomber more useful for soft than hard, as i only know them for his antitank value.
Strategic bombers in the other hand are the ones to use against naval units and soft targets entrenched.
He!...maybe strategic bombers only need naval attack value, now i think about it. Against other units we should only think about his supression effect.

Re: Nato mod
The Me 110 series isn't rubbish against Soft either though. And strategic bombers are still alright attackers against ground troops (aside from supression and fuel/ammo).danijocker90 wrote:Thats why i said Hard attack for Tactical. Maybe:
Tac has Soft/Hard
Str has Soft/Naval

Hello,
Here is a new version for the planes with three values at the most.
The general principle is : values of attack / values of defense.
- Fighters : air attack / air defense.
- Tactical bombers : air attack - hard attack / air defense.
- Strategic bombers : soft attack - naval attack / air defense.
- Transport : air attack / air defense. What do you think about it?
