Are pretty unforgiving -- and based a lot more on luck than any skill. Example:
Oddball. Doesn't matter how you position his Sherman -- by the second turn, in my opinion, it's way too easy for the German AI to have lined up both AT teams. My gripes:
Either Oddball goes to the far left of the map -- limiting his exposure -- but the time crunch then to make the exit point is unreal.
Or he tries to consolidate with the rest of the Americans in the middle of the map -- but leaves his ass pointed towards the enemy. Seeing as all the Germans have to do is immobilize him to win the scenario, that's a bit frustrating ....jeesh...I can't even sacrifice the greyhound by using him as a meat shield. As the terrain is wooded, and not bocage, they still have a ton of viable lanes of fire.
If you don't move him in the middle, then the halftrack can run out and riddle your supporting infantry. And you need those infantry to try and suppress the AT teams.
I REALLY like the mechanics. I like the look of the game. I can tell I'm going to be playing multi. But honestly, just the first non tutorial campaign has a mission where just blind luck determines if there's even a point beyond progressing past the 2nd turn.

LOL... the only way I won the scenario was killing all the Germans. I lost mobility of Oddball pretty quick.

Mission Spoilers below:
I know the mission well. I played it about 10 times winning my first time but then having difficulty. I've played most of the campaign missions numerous times trying to achieve all the objectives and get as close to a perfect score as possible. I think the game is so much fun repeat attempts hasn't bothered me.
Here's how I did the Oddball one. I would provide a screen capture but haven't figured out how to grab them yet. Anyone?
For me the first turn was crucial. I gave my .30 cal the first Order and Oddball the second one. Otherwise the German HT will most likely kill your .30 cal.
On the first Order move the .30 cal to the Hedgerow above Stewart's starting square and deploy it. It should survive the Sd. Kfz. 251/1's attack. If it doesn't start over.
Use the second Order to move Oddball south so his tank is lined up below the Hedgerow to the right of the road; he'll also block the HMG42's LoS. Now have him fire the main gun at the Fire Team in the open and try to suppress the HMG42.
Then move the Greyhound with the third Order so it can also shoot at the Fire Team in the open while staying south, away from the Panzerschrecks.
During the Supply Phase move Stewart Northwest to the Hedgerow to the left of the closest Panzerschreck unit. You need him to reveal them later. Move the Support unit to where Stewart just vacated.
On the second turn the AI will usually fire the Panzerschreck that moved to the right. Give Stewart your first Order and have him assault the second Panzershcreck to the left. He'll have a 58% chance at assaulting. That should take out the second schreck.
Now it's a cat and mouse where you try to use Oddball to destroy the Vehicles while Stewart and the .30 cal go after the Panzerschrecks. Give the destruction of the Panzerschrecks the top priority so if Oddball cab help do it. Try to keep Oddball out of Panzerschreck LoS.
If you destroy all the enemy units you win so don't worry about getting the the exit spot. That's how I did it.

Other thing to remember, if you take out the oposing leaders with yellow stars - that will reduce the enemy's orders the next turn.
Be carefull what you wish for, you just might get it!
Re: mechanics are great...scenarios...
I lost that scenario the first time (badly) when they immobilized Oddball with the first shot.
The 2nd time, Oddballf lit up the halftrack, then the first AT team and moved away from the 2nd. When the 2nd AT team moved forward to engage I moved the Greyhound up and fried it on the first shot as well...pretty much done at that point. Odds of doing that in the first 2 turns aren't great, but not too astronomical either
I replayed the scenario again and failed to kill the halftrack, but did kill the 1st AT team and again, it was an easy win (although I took infantry losses from the halftrack).
All in all, these are very small scenarios with very short time limits. So yeah, luck is going to play in quite a bit on winning/losing. Can't wait for the editor to be released and see what we can put together!

@IronFirst: wow! You should make a series of walkthroughs.
I'd like to know if you attempted the Rogue yet and what's your strategy for those missions
PS: I'm really curious to see what you people are going to come up with in custom generated levels. I'll try to speed up the development of the editor as much as I can.
