Mouse is jittery and I can't control it on the opening scene

My mouse is uncontrollable on the opening screen. My computer is running 64 bit and I think the game is in 32 bit format. What can I do?

this bug has been reported by a couple other users. It seems to be caused by secondary input devices.
Do you have additional mice or input controls plugged in?

I did have a flight yoke plugged in. Disconnected it and it didn't help. I'm going to reboot and check again.

That did not help. I'm at a loss of what to try.

Please try to disable all background programs in case these are interfering with the normal running of the game.
You can do this by running msconfig and disabling all non-windows start-up programs and services.
Then once you have disabled all non-Microsoft services, please run the game and see if the issue persists.
If it does not, please then reopen msconfig and reenable those services, one by one, until you find the program causing the problem.

I disabled everything and it still is unusable. I really wanted to play this game but I can't get it to work without mouse control.

GOT it. Some phising software had installed VJoystick. Once deleted, the game runs fine.

I have just bought, downloaded and install HoN. I have the same problem, the mouse jitters on the opening screen. I have disconnected my flight sim controls but that has not fixed the problem.

I haven't been able to get the mouse to work as of the latest patch (1.03).

Got the game working in the end, I had to disconnect my flight panels as well as my flight controls before I could get it to work. I saw that mugwump said he was using version 1.03, I have version 1.01 and when I used the check for update button I received the message that my version is up to date. Is there a more recent version than 1.01 and if so where do you download it from please?

The Steam version is at 1.03. The non Steam version will be updated tomorrow I believe. Normally they are done at the same time but a critical bug had to be patched for the Steam version to keep the game server from crashing.
