Allied replacement bug

Playing as the Allies at the start of day 22: I lost an engagement north of the Meuse and was forced to retreat off map as it would've over stacked the zones adjacent. Then I had 2 infantry replacements to allocate - but there was only 1 infantry unit with 1 bit missing on the map - with one unallocated replacement the commit button was still greyed out so I couldn't continue! I tried undoing and ignoring replacements for this turn but I was still directed to allocate the replacement which I couldn't do. The system must have thought the 2nd replacement could have still been used on one of the retreated off map units which had lost strength.

And so I had to abandon the game which had been an absolutely brilliant close run thing - I accepted it as a defeat as 3 panzer divisions were north of the Muese with more to follow. Congratulations on this game, apart from the above glitch it has been superb!!

Glad you are enjoying the game so far, and sorry you encountered an issue.

What do you mean by "retreating off map"? Were your units destroyed?

The retreat outcome defiantly came up. It happened on the map edge in Wanze. Hingeon and Liege had just receive reinforcement units so the retreating units from Wanze would have overstacked. Instead they retreated off map - unless of course the game treats them as 'destroyed' but I didn't see any message to confirm this, just the retreat message.

Hmm, that is interesting. Do you have a save game, an autosave perhaps right before the move that caused this retreat to happen? I am currently trying to replicate what you are saying but it doesn't seem like an easy situation to be reproduced.

I'm sorry Manthril, I have since started a new game and its autosave has overwritten the old one. I appreciate its hard to replicate.

No worries, James! Keep playing, I am currently testing multiple Replacements scenarios. Will get it fixed soon!

Thanks Manthril. I think there was nothing wrong with those units retreating off the map in that situation. It was a realistic outcome, the map edge is not a force wall. A fair outcome too as the Germans didn't get the VP's for their destruction and I wouldn't have got to use those units again.

It was the situation of having more replacements than vacant slots that halted things. And it looks like your on to that.

11/10 for the game!

It is indeed something wrong with these units retreating off map. We are using some additional tiles that help us calculate supply lines and I believe the units that are at the corner of the map retreat to these tiles. It's funny, I never thought of such an outcome. And an awesome catch for you!

I'm glad you are enjoying the game even with these issues. Thanks for your support and your issue has been indeed really helpful, as we managed to fix a lot more issues because of it.

LE: Pfiu, finally managed to reproduce the bug and got it fixed! Will be live in the next update.
