Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
It's Dec 20th (campaign game) and I just tried to add a replacement to an Axis infantry unit in Bastogne. I confirmed my supply lines are open to that area. But when I clicked on the unit a message popped up saying I had no eligible units this turn. Pretty sure I have several eligible units including the one in Bastogne. Did not see the thread on how to report a bug in-game until now so I'm posting here.
Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
Do you happen to have the auto-save (or normal) from that turn?
We'll look into it, but if we have the save we can fix it very fast.

Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
Might have the autosave as I quit after noticing the problem, but I have no idea where the files are saved. Looked in the game directory but couldn't find them. Don't see any reference to saved files in the manual either.
Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
they're in :
c:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Shenandoah Studio\Battle of the Bulge\save\

Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
The only file I see there is ComputerOpponent.gd. Is that it? If so I'll attach it here.
Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
Hi!
Yes, that is the file, you can attach it here.

Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
Forum says the extension gd is not allowed. Should I rename it?
Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
You can zip it and then upload it, it should work. You can rename the extension as well if that is easier for you, and we will rename it back when we download.

Hi, Elmo!
Was the infantry unit highlighted in blue when you wanted to add replacements to it? If it was, and you selected it and then managed to click Commit, the unit actually received their replacement. That message from the Briefing section seems to be a minor visual bug. Is this what happened?

Pretty sure it was highlighted in blue and I clicked on it. I "think" the message popped up before I clicked on Commit but I'm not sure, sorry. Will watch for it again next turn.
Edit - I do recall that the replacement screen still showed one point available but it would not let me apply it.

Re: Possible Axis replacement bug (PC version)
All right, Elmo. We are currently testing different replacements situations, and we are getting them fixed.

If it's a bug I'm sure you'll find it. Thanks for a great game.
