Noob seeking advice about getting started
I just bought Panzer Corps Wehrmacht, installed it, and started the tutorial scenario(s).
I expected the tutorial to lead me through an example battle, but maybe I'm not seeing the 'start tutorial' command or maybe it's not the sort of tutorial that I'm expecting.
Does the product have a 'PC demonstrates the game to teach the newbie' tutorial, or is the tutorial simply a simple, easy version of a battle?
Asked another way, for someone who is new to PC wargames, what tutorial (in the sense of a demonstrating to the newbie) materials available for this game, either in video/youtube format or written format?
Thanks for any advice.

The tutorial is a 6-mission campaign ("Panzer Schule"), of relatively easy missions. Throughout you will be given messages explaining various aspects of the game. By the 6th mission you should have a good idea of how to play

This is going back to 1995ish, so Im not sure if Im remembering correctly, but the predecessor to this game, Panzer General, iirc, had a setting where you could watch the AI play the AI. As I am currently playing on iPad, I dont know if the pc version of this game has that feature. But if it does, thats one way to learn

I have always enjoyed the many video AARs that are available to see how others play the game and their plans. In particular I enjoy the videos by deducter. He explains what he is doing and why as he plays. Now, I believe he mainly did videos for the DLCs with sight equip mods, but still insightful.

enjoy.... I know I have and continue to play

I'm sorry, but here is another well deserved series of videos that are really enjoyable...

They are by KeldorKatarn. Now, in his, he gives a historical background but the fog of war is turned off (i.e., you can see all the forces against you moving around)

I didn't turn of fog of war, but in a replay you can see the enemy turn. And there you see what the AI sees. In my turns you see what I can see. It's not live play, it's a replay.okiemcguire wrote:I'm sorry, but here is another well deserved series of videos that are really enjoyable...
