Amphibious Mode

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi folks, a bug here. I didn't realise I could switch to amphibious mode with an LVT - just launched from a port expecting it to automatically be in amphibious mode - but the LVT ended up in a boat. Switched to amphibious mode in the boat and ended up with an LVT digging in in the ocean!

Strange thing is then I took the screenshot, saved the game, came out of the game to desktop - went back into the game and the unit was back in the boat again.

I think I'll have to keep it in the boat in order to move it any further.

Cheers,
Chris

No changes. Probably not many idiots around like me that launch LVTs into boats :)

I think LVTs can only move in amphibious mode on shallow water.

Another bug here. If you deploy a unit and then decide against it and put the unit back into reserve the hex it was deployed on can't be deployed on again.

Also odd - if I take a unit in the deployment phase and move it around a lot to different hexes it ends up with red supply and quite a few of the hexes it could originally be deployed on turn red. Surely you should be able to move a unit as often as you would like in the deployment stage without suffering any ill effects?

When moving an infantry unit , and the highlighted available distance for the move turns to a truck, but it is actually an amphibious vehicle, how do you get the infantry to unload and walk again. I'm playing Iwo Jima and I have several marine units who I moved the maximum distance and now they are a light blue vehicle, I can't get them back to the walking configuration and the AT guns are decimating them.
