Mouse jerky - won't work
I installed Commander: The Great War on a Windows 7 system, 64 bit. It installed and updated to the latest version properly, but when I try to run it at any resolution, I get extremely jerky mouse movement. I can't get the mouse to stop on any unit, and can't make the game function at all. I tried different mice, all available screen resolutions, full screen and anything else that seemed vaguely related, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Didn't the dev's tell you when you bought the game: That they are OTL?jimc126 wrote:I installed Commander: The Great War on a Windows 7 system, 64 bit. How you have the Vsynch configured? VSynch option is set on the game configuration menu in the launcher box.
Re: Mouse jerky - won't work
I tried both ways. It does not seem to matter.
Re: Mouse jerky - won't work
Which graphic card do you have?

AMD 760G
Re: Mouse jerky - won't work
You need to check AMD Catalyst Control Center and see if the in the 3D applications Settings how the Wait for vertical Refresh is configured.
If it's set for Always On then changing Vsyhch option in the game won't have any effect.
You can also try playing the game in Windowed mode and check if the mouse lag is reduced.

Re: Mouse jerky - won't work
Actually, I double checked, and I have an ATI Radeon 3000 card. So I have no AMD Catalyst Control Center.
Also, I tried window mode, with no improvement that I could detect.

Is it a cordless mouse?
Open the game installation folder and find a file named ctgw_d3d.exe. Run this file and check if the issue persists.

That seems to have done it. Thank you.
