Re: Britcon 2015
Thanks Jim and Kevin
5 Scots in the bottom 6 rankings - a sad day indeed. Spotted Dog Productions (Genealogy Department) have been commissioned to undertake a check on Mr Poade to see if we can trace some Heighlan blood in him to make it 6 from 6.
The challenge is on then to bag a placing higher than our rankings. We will do our best but it looks like being a tough gig lads.
Looking forward to it and big thanks to Kev and the team.

Re: Britcon 2015
But surely you must be - we Scots having been fooling the English for years.
I should also point out that in one of the lesser commitments in the THE VOW made by all parties just prior to the Scottish referendum all points won by Scots at Britcon will be linked to the Barnett formula. In affect this means our points will be increased by around 10% to compensate us for being a down trodden race.

Re: Britcon 2015
This should then be followed by a vote between the English players for how many points each Scots player should have to forfit - as this is a purely English matter as it is a comp in England the Jocks don't get a vote - start the bidding at 120 and see where it goes from there...

Timmy you know you cannot as high as 120 - you do not have that many fingers and toes.

Re: Britcon 2015
If we stood all 5 Scots entrants in a line I think the umpire will probably find 120 fingers and toes to count on...

Re: Britcon 2015
Probably more once the Barnett formula recalculates the number of fingers and toes we are allowed.

Re: Britcon 2015
There are 120 Fingers and toes amongst the scot entrants at Britcon!
You're forgetting my old mucker Jim Gibson!
Jim, John and Hunter - now that would be a Scottish 1,2,3! (and I'm half scottish as my mother was from Elgin!)

So Kevin,
How about following the Roll Call precedent and announcing the draw in advance?
That way I can make an informed decision about when to turn up Friday evening

I am getting worried by Nigel's rapid claim up the ranks - 41 places in 6 months. What's going on. Is he finally using a sensible army?

Re: Britcon 2015
At least Simon won't have to worry about missing any of the Ashes series when he starts his first game at 6pm on Friday...
Re: Britcon 2015
So what is the news from Britcon after round one and two? Has Nigel established a lead with Simon in last place?

Re: Britcon 2015
Nigel took a 4-21 kicking, but the poor bloke had been on the road since 4am picking up his dear wife from Heathrow, dropping her off at home, then driving north!
Re: Britcon 2015
Two of the top three were Scots this morning...
Re: Britcon 2015
Are they still top this afternoon?
