For those of you who are driving up, looking at the latest version of the Charles St Parking website, http://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/ser ... /carparks/ it says charges are :
Monday-Friday
up to 3 hours - £3.00
3 — 6 hours - £5.00
6 — 10 hours - £8.00
10 — 24 hours - £10.00
Short stay parking - 16:00 - 23:59* - £2.00
Saturday and Sunday until 23:59* - £2.00
*PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU STAY AFTER MIDNIGHT THEN THE £10 OVERNIGHT CHARGE WILL APPLY (EXCEPT ON SATURDAYS)
This seems to suggest that for someone arriving on Friday and leaving Sunday evening the total charge will be:
Friday £10 (the "overnight" rate, which also covers the full day on Friday)
Saturday £2 (daily rate, no overnight charge on Saturday/Sunday)
Sunday £2 (daily rate)
= £14

Also thanks to my opponents, Steve B, Dave M, Pete D, Paul L, Richard C and Gordon J.
Finally I'm sorry to anyone who had to fight more than one of the Swiss armies, In Paul's case he had 2 civil wars to deal with...and to Rob, I hope what ever forced you to go home on Sat is sorted in a positive way

Just a quick note to say I had a great time at my first Britcon (and first FoG competition) with 6 entertaining games in very a friendly atmosphere. It was really nice to get some good solid gaming in over a full weekend.
Many thanks to the organisers for putting this on - I hope to make it next year.

Well done on a great result Paul !!
Apologies to my last 2 would-be opponents but my dad collapsed Saturday evening and I had to rush back home fearing the worst.
Thankfully we now know it wasn't a heart attack and he was released from hospital yesterday.

Had a great time and I too was lucky with my opponents:
Graham B, Dino, Chris P (and for surviving the 3am session), Malcolm, Greame and Daryl.
Congrats to Graham and Paul and to Pete D not only nearly winning but proving Einstein wrong
Thanks to the organisers and especially to Richard J-C whose umpiring decisions were quite splendid - er Andy has just told me he will not be umpiring next times so actually he was a complete dunderhead
