And last but not least, the two Soviet Flame tanks. The KV 8 has had the side fuel tanks removed and the T34 43 is one of the variation units I made the other day (no fuel tanks on the side) with flames. I plan on making a variation of the armed version of the KV without fuel tanks for the game. Stay tuned.

Splendid!, just splendid flak. It seems you are reading my mind all the time
That KV-8 is the icon I need to finally improve the variant I use in my mod
. Could I ask you the masks or the icon with vanilla-green version?. The same for the beautiful T-34/43.
Please don´t stop using your creativity
Thanks a lot.
Best regards.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Hi Akkula, I just sent you a private email with these units and the masks. I did not make a "green version" of the Flame Tanks, but I can do it easily. I will turn them out tomorrow. You just want them "Soviet Green"? There are a lot of Soviet masks I made for DCS. I may try to do some through it in different shades and tones and also just do the vanilla versions also. No one will probably notice, but the smoke and flame coming out of the T34-76 facing to the left is BEHIND the gun barrel,
Just making sure the details are right don't you know.
I have an idea how to make a few KV variants that occurred to me when I made the KV 8 Flame Tank. Stay tuned buddy.

Here is a unit I idea I had, maybe a brain fart. It crowds the DCS window but the unit does skin out OK. Have not put it on the PZC map yet to see how it fits. If it works ok on the map, maybe a person could give it some extra firepower for the towed fuel tank.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Akkula, actually there was a plan to develop a Tiger I Flammpanzer. The first factory to do the conversion was ruined in bombing and the tank never arrived at the second factory since it was scheduled to be completed in April, 1945. By then as we all know, it was over basically.
Here are some more or less useless units that I came up with based off of PHCAS's ammo trailer on the wonderful SdKfz 10 unit he made. I reworked the trailer into a fuel trailer for towing and into two versions (one with barely visible shovel) of the German SD AH 51 Ammunition trailer. Of course to use these icon units, you need to cut and paste to the existing towing unit and fit them on the icon unit png image. That is why I did not mask them as they would need to be masked after being attached to your unit and fitted properly on the png image used in the game. Maybe too much to mess with for some of you, but for others, maybe something you might want to try.
In conception the idea is that if a person can add a trailer to a unit, the variables for increased fuel, ammunition, etc. can be tweaked in the stats, logically speaking more or less.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Enough of the silly stuff I guess, now is the time to get down to basics. The game did not have what I thought was a decent ISU 152 (or at least one I could find even made). So I did a bit of cutting and pasting, painting, etc. I am making a major Soviet unit file that I hope to present to Akkula (assuming he will like it). Still lots to do, but making progress. I made some adjustments to the muzzle brakes since I first posted these units. Sorry if you don't like them, I do.

Here are a few more of the Soviet units I have been reworking, these are just some samples. There is a spoke road wheel version of the SU 100 and a mixed wheel version. A T34-85 mixed wheel version is in the works too. Some variety was needed.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Great, great, great. I think the same as you flak, the SU/ISU family deserves better treatment in this game. They were iconic beast for the Red Army and I cannot be more glad to see you working on them, so far I like all of them as usual... keep them coming.
I have a suggestion for the ISU-152, if you allow me: a version with the frontal tracks protection removed (it was usual to break them on bad terrain or combat).
I cannot wait to grab the whole package, I am looking forward to include more and more diversity in the Soviet Storm before the next (soon) release.}
Thanks a lot for all your efforts.
Best regards.
Akkula.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Thank you for your interest and wanting the package Akkula. I am of course honing my skills as I go and will soon have the T34-41 variations (of some sort) for you. In the meantime I have initiated a group of about a dozen or more units with which to make variations, T34's (several series), ISU (several series), SU (several series, KV (several series), etc. They are multiple variations of each type and masks as well. If you like them I will be very pleased. They are of course, inspired by your mod and my enthusiasm for the Eastern Front.
Guys like you and Guille inspire me in the game and give me enthusiasm.
My skill is no match for Guille and PHCAS of course and I would never be so assuming to believe my work is their equal because it is not. As I have said, I am like the Japanese. I can mimic, modify and manipulate the great work of others as I attempt to make interesting units for the game. The Soviet package I am gradually putting together is made for those who enjoy Soviet units for which there is so little variance or variety. I never liked having 5 or 10 identical units in the game that all looked the same. If I am going to command 12 T34-85 units, I don't want them to look the same. Too confusing and uninteresting. So I just do what I do.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
I believe Akkula had requested a KV 8 Soviet Flamethrower tank in green earlier. So I include one with "clean" sides as I have modified this version (including others in the KV series) without side rear fuel tanks.

Thanks again flak!. I can`t wait for that Soviet package!. You really inspired me to improve an improve the mod (and to delay it
)
I think that thanks to you the players will have a beautiful variety of Soviet armor to enjoy and unleash on the Werhmacht
Best regards.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Akkula, I had sent Guille a couple of T34 turret references (the CHZ turret for one and the Ekranmi) to ask if he would make a couple of turrets. He did and they are very nice indeed. I even managed to use one of them to make an STZ turret although you really have to look at the unit to notice it. But it is there. So there will be more T34-76, etc variations. This is all thanks to Guille.

Re: Some new icons if you want them, more to follow
Here are some examples of the Soviet T34 variants that Guille and I are working on making. Guille made some turrets I requested, (old one hatch turret, Ekranami and the CHZ). After some tweaking they appear to be acceptable. The STZ turret is a bit hard to see, but it is there if you look close enough. Stay tuned for a Soviet unit package I am working on with Guille. He is also working on Soviet units and has a great tool he his going to make for us. Also I have rennovated the Soviet skins and thumbnail file for DCS. I will be posting the zip files soon with the units when they are released with masks.

That's great you like them Akkula. There will be a LOT more in the pack than just T34-76 units.
In the meantime, here are some German captured T34-85 units to go with the other German T34-76 units I posted earlier in the thread. I included a German "T34-100" (fictional of course, but maybe fun).
