Skirmish mode

I was hoping for the skirmish mode/quick battle generator to be included in the new patch.
But I see it did not make it this time around. Is it still in the works and can we expect it in the near future?
Really like skirmish mode in BA2 and would love to see something similar in OoB:Pacific.
Thank you for these terrific games.
