Old Glory Irish light horse

Post by Ninthplain »

Could anyone point me in the right direction on what to use for the Irish light horse in the English lists of Storm of Arrows?

I am not finding anything you can use as a generic LH for this time period. Not that I mind running Thracians as a proxy but I am thinking very non historical.

Thank you in advance.

Essex has mailed Irish horse that you could use as the light horse (yes I know that they are unprotected, but they still look good)). Essex also makes some other Irish horse types that you can probably use (Celtic LH that I use for my Arthurians). Irish mounted were known for not using stirrups (stirrups=wimps). I am fortunate enough to have Thistle and Rose Irish Horse which fit in real well (and are unprotected w/o shields)- good luck trying to find them.

Riding without stirrups doesn't half hurt!

That said, one does feel to have more control.
