Recon aircraft

Big battle going on here that the Americans are losing - yet one of their last undamaged capital ships spends its time trying to shoot down my reconnaissance aircraft.
The battleship joined in earlier. If you just bought 5 or 6 of these cheap planes you could win every naval battle easily! The AI really needs to take less notice of these planes.

Looks like the battle is New Zealand, my experience was not so lucky as the BB ignore my recon plane but my japanese fleet is very strong at that battle so I goy the secondary objective without any lost of ship even manage to provide naval bombardment later hehehe

I just used this cheesy tactic again in Okinawa (I'm now playing the Americans). I didn't even mean too - the Japanese battleship and cruiser just started chasing my recon plane to the north for a couple of turns while their destroyers steamed south. Divide and conquer using a single reconnaissance aircraft. Seems a shame that this can happen - hopefully it can be fixed for future games.
