Plans for the near future - Pt. 2

Post by adherbal »

A quick update on our current plans:

The Mac version is more or less done and will be announced/released soon together with another major PC patch (the latter is currently in open beta).
  • With this work out of the way we are now focusing on completing the NATO counters display mode as well as the new Skirmish/Random Map mode.
  • In addition we will look into rebalancing/finetuning things such as specialisation bonuses, effects of experience on combat and increasing the effect and diversity of Commander bonuses.

Does the MAC version include the ipad version, or are they separate in development?

By separate, are you just referring to Mac and ipad development or will it also require a purchase for the separate platforms?

I was referring to development, although it will also require for you to buy separately as well, if you want to play the game in both platforms.
Please note that yo uwill only be able to buy the iPad version from iTunes.

When I asked this question "Does the MAC version include the ipad version, or are they separate in development?" What I really wanted to know is, are the ipad version and the MAC version going to be released at the same time, or is the ipad version still at a later date than the MAC version? I have the PC version, but also want to purchase the ipad version. Thank you.

Are the counters follow the APP-6A? http://www.mapsymbs.com/APP-6ADRDCValca ... Mod%29.pdf

Skirmish/Random Map mode is unexpected and very exciting news.
Time was invented so that everything didn't happen at once.

How are things going with NATO counters? I find sprites almost unplayable.

THAT... Awesome news. Like a wishlist for the game come true. Really the only little gripe I have with the game is the collection of battlefield experience for the different units.
Even the fact that I have to chew through infantry in combat like kids through gummy bears is something I support - read "with the old breed" and you know what i mean.
This being said I would very much support different XP factors for vehicles/ships and inf. Inf should gain XP quick because they are squishy.
In my mind the XP should not be a massive factor simply because of balancing reasons. A bullet is a bullet after all. Modern war teaches us that in death all men are equal afterall.
