Had to reinstall, due to messing up a download.
All went ok. Trying to start the game gave these two messages.

Re: Error messages
It seems that you have somehow got some files from the Pike and Shot Campaigns beta into your normal Pike and Shot installation folder.
Are you taking part in the beta?
Are you taking part in the beta?

Trying to. I was suffering from Win8 problems loading it. So I uninstalled P&S before installing the base game and 1.04rbodleyscott wrote: Are you taking part in the beta?

Re: Error messages
I see. 1.04 should not be copied into the base game, but into the beta, which is in a different folder (/Pike and Shot Campaigns not /Pike and Shot).Brenmusik wrote:Trying to. I am not tech support, but if you copied beta v1.04 into C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Pike and Shot, as it appears from the error.log that you did, I think you will need to:
1) Delete the contents of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Pike and Shot" and reinstall P&S, using your original serial number. Don't do anything else to it.
2) Reinstall the original version of the beta that you should have received a link to in the beta email, using your beta serial number.
3) Install the v1.04 beta download into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Slitherine\Pike and Shot Campaigns" as per the instructions on the beta board.

Re: Error messages
Thank you, that has shed a little more light on it.
