Can the UI be modified?

Good afternoon.
I was wondering if the new UI can be modified at all by us?

I would really like the see the buttons and the arrows for the sliding options much smaller.
Love the new version but the size of those buttons really take up alot of space on the screen.

Just curious if its something we can maybe mod ourselves?

Ya I meant with the new version. I love the UI I just want to make the buttons smaller.
Take up too much room on the screen I think.

There's no option to make those buttons smaller atm. You can completely hide the UI though (or just parts of it, as the buttons bars). The button bars are not mandatory (actually they were mainly added for the iOS/Android tablet versions), as all the triggered actions also have associated keyboard shortcuts too.
