World Domination!

Post by chazuar »

Hi there!
I'm kind of new (I did have an account on the old slitherine site, but forgot my username).
On Legion, I just couldn't settle for 40% of the map! I always made sure I took over everything.
It was easy to make this possible with just a slight change to the tweaks.txt.

Now I have Gates of Troy, but when I looked in the tweaks.txt, I noticed this:

// 10th's of a % of world to control to win game
WinPercentage 1000
WinClearPercentage 1000

Surely it wouldn't be set to 100% already? If that's the case, then why do tribes have specific objectives, and how can they win by just achieving them? (For example, on the Grand Campaign, the objective is to control 32 cities, but there are much more than 32 cities.)

Basically, I want to override the tribes specific objectives, allowing me to conquer the world! Is there a way to do this?

(By the way, I've noticed the maps are ALOT bigger than Legion, but to me that just means alot more people to conquer!)

Thanks in advance, Charlie.

Some tribs have an objective like build a master shieldmaker. Just dont build one until you have taken over the world.

Thanks amigo! Unfortunately "some" excludes every tribe in the Grand Campaign :(

I could play the 1300BC campaign, and leave the City of Troy until last... :?

Any other help greatly appreciated!

You sure? I know that many of them have a build requirement for sure- at least one of the eastern groups.

I'm afraid not :( , I just re-checked to make sure.

(Just to avoid confusion, i'm referring to the 1500BC campaign - Greek Colonialism.)

I like to keep going even after having the 32 cities too, usually because i'm just then starting to max out the technologies or have an enemy who i've decided is my true objective anyways. Once you reach 32 cities, or any objective for that matter, it just asks if you want to quit or continue.

Oh cheers! This is a bit more difficult than Legion, my cities keep getting too full of people and I can't get bricks fast enough. :(

Think I'll lie low for a couple of years and attack when I've got my economy sorted. :)

I was terribly disappointed when I read that the Lesbians had been vanquished, :P I really wanted to meet them!
