PBEM Question

Post by Rikolus »

When I bring up the Multi-Player screen, I see a number of scenarios in RED print, that say "This Scenario is not installed on your device"

As I enjoy PBEM, I would like to have access to as many scenario choices as possible. Is there something one can do to get access to more scenarios? Are these maybe just ones that are being play-tested?

If these are custom scenarios, you need to download them from the multiplayer scenario vault:

Can we please get an auto-download function? It would really enhance multiplayer quite a bit.

That is a great point Carl. I have to admit; I'm an older guy and not real good at knowing how to get scenarios, and Where to download to and all. It would be good if there was an Auto-Download. Or, if there were a STEP BY STEP set of instructions What to do when you go to that Forum page listed above that shows all those cool scenarios that I wish I had but can't figure out HOW to access.
Thanks for listening, Artistocrats!

1 Download the scenario zip file
2. Unzip anywhere
3. Copy the scenario folder to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - Pacific_Data\Resources\Scenario

This is the recommended location for custom scenarios:

My Documents -> My Games -> Order of Battle - Pacific -> Scenarios

This also allow you to open the scenario in the editor.

Thanks Erik, I put them into to the Scenario folder found in Resources, not in My Games, and they seem to work. I take it that the only difference is I can not Open it to edit, correct? In honesty, I would not really want to edit anyway, but just wondering what is the diff between one location and the other.

I believe that the only difference is that they can be accessed by the editor in the documents folder.
