You can upload the image file as an attachment or host the image in a hosting site and then use IMG function to add it to your post.

either 5 or 10 posts are needed, and I think you have to have been on for 2 weeks as well.

What I don't get here: How come over at the Matrix CTGW forum I can upload a screenshot, picture or what have you from my desktop to PMs and posts without having a image holding company being involved? Or, am I getting it wrong here? (Curious)

You can aslso do that here, that's the reason why I said You can upload the image file as an attachment.
Although there might be some advantages in posting an image link instead of attaching a screenshot.

I can not see how to post a screenshot to the Slitherine forum? When I click Img it does not give me any indication what to do next?, there is no attachment paperclip, nothing ! Can you explain to me how to upload a picture to here? I can send attachments with my email, easy enough figure out. I've posted hundreds upon hundreds of screenshots to the CTGW forum in topics and AARs, but I do not have a clue how to do it here?

You can attach jpg files as attachments the way you attach any other file. pngs also work but they have to be <256 kB, which is rare for a png.

Don't get me wrong! How do you do attachments here? I can't figure it out? Can you tell me the basics to get started?

Thanks, Bob

PS, OH! I think I just seen the "upload attachment" below.

OK, I've figured out how to attach a screen shot to a regular forum post using the "upload attachment" button near the bottom of the screen. However, there is no "upload attachment" button when doing a PM here at Slitherine. At the Matrix forums a member can include a screenshot with PMs, one more reason why I like using the Matrix forum over Slitherine's forum...

The Matrix & Slitherine forum systems both started back in 2000 and have grown from there. We would like to merge them to a unified system but currently they have completely different feature sets, run on different types of servers and are in different languages.
