is that the problem???
Re: question
ok, im going to try and state my question with words...here goes...
whenever you execute an attack, a series of numbers appear, one set pink, the other white. now, I know the pink numbers represent damage scored but what do the white numbers mean ??
also, the winged icon at the bottom of the unit's illustration , how does it correlate to that unit, in regard to its size (number of troops in the unit)? and with vehicles the numbers change color, from white to yellow to red... what does that mean??

Re: question
A is number of hit points taken. Each unit in a squad has a number of hit points that it can suffer before declared lost/dead. If each unit in a squad has 3 hit points and it suffered 9 hit points in an attack then you will lose 3 units(and you will see 3 show up at point B in your screenshot). In your screenshot, each unit has 1 hit point, hence when it suffered 6 hit points it lost 6 units. And again when it suffered 4 hit points it lost 4 units.
C is the number of units in the squad and the colour represents their morale rating. White is good and red is low. When red the unit will be less effective in attack and defence)
Hope that helps

Re: question
actually, yeah, that helped alot...theres only 1 other issue, a rhino , for example, has a good order number of 7...that cant be right, because a rhino has a capacity of 10 marines...now why would you need 7 rhinos to transport 1 squad??

Re: question
This is a tricky one because it relates to the transports not being real units. We did not want to model the infantry and transports separately and force you to load up and unload as it felt like too much micro management. Instead transports are abstracted in tot he unit. So when you move in your vehicle you turn on transports and when you move on foot you lose your transports. It's an abstraction to keep the mechanics simple. The issue then is if we had 1 Rhino, any damage it took would disproportionally damage the men inside. In reality the Rhino would protect the men and unless it was destroyed they'd be relatively safe. In game terms though if we did this you'd either lose nothing or all your men when on a transport and it was just too extreme. I hope that makes some sense….
Re: question
I've felt that the rhinos are noticeably weaker, defensively
