Avast anti-virus reports update 1.7 maindata trojan

Post by PMB64 »

I recently purchased a download copy of Order of Battle: Pacific and updated the install to version 1.7, however, my Avast Antivirus Pro software now reports the Order of Battle: Pacific; maindata is infected with: VBS- Bicololo-BU Trojan. Can you confirm whether this is a false positive, I initially deleted the first reported install, after which the game would not start. I then re-downloaded the update via the Game Menu screen but my Anti-virus reports the same issue. Advice, please.

It's a false positive. Our software is thoroughly checked before we distribute it to our customers.
Avast and AVG are known for the false positives. Bad heuristic.
Norton and Kaspersky seem to have improved lately regarding false positives; Avast and AVG still report a lot of false positives. Bad heuristic.
