Cannot download game manual and game crashes

Unable to download game manual from menu screen. Abode screen appears suggesting to try again. Internet connection, Abode Reader in working order. In addition, game crashes from menu screen when the "options" option is chosen. Also crashes from choosing the options tab while in the game. By crashing, I mean that the game closes entirely and you are back to your desktop.

just in case you have a bad install, uninstall and make sure folder is clean / empty and re install and then re patch / update to latest version, good luck

Do you have the Collector's Edition?

For reading the manual please try the following open the game installation folder and find a subfolder named Manual. Please open it and double click on the manual.pdf file.
Your pdf reader should be able to read it now.
