Game won't start - constant crash

So I was having problems updating the game to 167... CRC errors in the files. I finally found a link to one that allowed me to update without error, but then the game started crashing every time I tried to run it. I figured the several aborted attempts to update with the bad files might have hosed something, so I uninstalled everything and reinstalled with the original install files from bluesnap<dot>com. Without trying to patch it I launched the game and it crashed again. And again and again.

OK I solved the problem. It was something in the MY GAMES folder left over from the previous installation. Deleting the OOB:P folder from MY GAMES fixed it.
