Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
To the Royalist Captain challenging the Lowland Scots, Scots are defending with the Covenanters.
Thanks

Ironclad - I'm away all weekend and won't be able to post this until next week. Assume adding 100 points is straightforward? If you'd rather create it yourself, be my guest.
Doyley50! This looks like one we've rehearsed

They are shown on the challenges table.
Sneaky try by the cropped heads, but I don't think the rules allow them to get 100 bonus points to the away (for them) region of South-West.

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
UMMMM?
1- How many points are we playing? I assume we pick medium armies unless informed otherwise.
2- If we are in a territory we control, then I assume we defend?
Sorry, I've been celebrating my 70th birthday hiking among the giant Sequoias at 7000 feet! Oxygen depravation???

I think there is something wrong with your challenge, it shows force size custom 1300-1080 while as we both have +100 points should be on a pair. Besides, as defending player I select terrain and I select agricultural, not hilly.deadtorius wrote:Battle for the South west is up with the extra 100 points.

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
The points should be 1300 Royalist to 1200 Parliament as only the Royalists can use bonus points in the SW.Aryaman wrote:I think there is something wrong with your challenge, it shows force size custom 1300-1080 while as we both have +100 points should be on a pair. Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
Just wondering why you think the parliament can't use bonus pt's in the south west using the linked friendly-controlled region at 50% value rule ? I am missing somethingIronclad wrote:The points should be 1300 Royalist to 1200 Parliament as only the Royalists can use bonus points in the SW.Aryaman wrote:I think there is something wrong with your challenge, it shows force size custom 1300-1080 while as we both have +100 points should be on a pair. Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
The South West isn't a friendly region for Parliament. My reading of the rules is to use points in enemy territory the source region for the points needs to be adjacent to the enemy target.iandavidsmith wrote: Just wondering why you think the parliament can't use bonus pt's in the south west using the linked friendly-controlled region at 50% value rule ? As defender you get to choose the terrain between agricultural and hilly so which do you prefer?

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
I am confused by the chart that purports to show the Late 1643 results, although it in fact seems to bear no resemblance to the actual matchups and results. Is the wrong chart being displayed or what?
e.g. My games were
A win vs Cavehobbit in Central-West. (14% to 45%).
A defeat vs Aryaman in mid-East (58% to 32%).

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
Also Keyth, what is your preference for terrain in North Wales?

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
Fortunately I think the map is right - but I hadn't spotted the discrepancy with Keyth's official figures.rbodleyscott wrote:I am confused by the chart that purports to show the Late 1643 results, although it in fact seems to bear no resemblance to the actual matchups and results. Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
You could be correct I am working on confusion here and saw something about extra points in the chart so set it up as that. I will delete the game and wait to see what the final ruling is before I go back to trying to set it up again.I think there is something wrong with your challenge, it shows force size custom 1300-1080 while as we both have +100 points should be on a pair. Keyth you are going to have to tell me how to set up our game as I really have no idea what the points should be and I guess its going to be agricultural??
