Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
In patch 1.6.7 we've added some new historical events in the campaign. The Japanese campaign is missing 2 images for these however, which can cause an unclosable event popup.
To solve this problem, place these two images in the Japanese campaign folder (right click > save as ...):
Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - Pacific_Data\Resources\Campaign\1Japan1941
or
Slitherine:
C:\Slitherine\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - Pacific_Data\Resources\Campaign\1Japan1941

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
I don't see a Japan Campaign Folder, only three folders where you suggested putting the images - Coral Sea, New Zealand and US....
any other suggestions?

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Did you maybe install the game using another path than the suggested one? In any case, regardless of Slitherine or Steam installation, you need to locate the main game folder first.Taiko wrote:I don't see a Japan Campaign Folder, only three folders where you suggested putting the images - Coral Sea, New Zealand and US....

From there it shold be easy to navigate to "...Order of Battle - Pacific_Data\Resources\Campaign\1Japan1941"
Maybe the following pic helps you:

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
I have the same problem, did the fix, closed steam and game, did not help, did fix again, said that it was already there, am I missing something?
ps, some thoughts after 117 hours.
make the next/last unit buttons bigger. (x2).
make the sleep button bigger. (x4) and have it go to next unmoved unit.
add a button to move the preprogramed units so you don't have to end turn to move them.
thanks, good game

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
A bit bizarre, no Campaign folder under Resources, only Scenario folder....
Steam install, ...should I reinstall?
Thanks for the response

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Hm, for my Steam installation the path would be:Taiko wrote:A bit bizarre, no Campaign folder under Resources, only Scenario folder....

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Order of Battle Pacific\Order of Battle - Pacific_Data\Resources\
In "Resources" there are 4 subfolders:
-Campaign (this is where 1Japan is located)
-Data
-Language
-Scenario
You don't have those?
Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Nope, just Data, Language and Scenario...
Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Hm, really strange, do you maybe have some specific folder options under windows activated that prevent you fom seeing it?Taiko wrote:Nope, just Data, Language and Scenario...
Did you try a Windows search for the campaign folder (could limit it to the Steam Libary to save time)? No idea why, but maybe it 's located elsewhere on your machine.

Please try this automatic hotfix instead:I have the same problem, did the fix, closed steam and game, did not help, did fix again, said that it was already there, am I missing something?

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Well, that last hotfix did install a Campaign Folder and a Japan subfolder with the two images inside...BUT
the Burma Invaded message came up right after Manila (before Bataan) with image and with no ability to go forward. Note the Burma Invaded message was earlier than before.
A bit frustrating...suggestions?

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
If you had no campaign folder originally then I suggest reinstalling. No idea how that could be missing.
Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Uninstalled game and then reinstalled version 1.6.7 through Steam.
Confirmed Campaign folder with Japan subfolder there, images in folder.
After Philippines, Burma invaded popup without image, and game freeze.
Any further ideas?
(Note, after scrolling back through above messages, in screen shot above there is a folder labeled Tutorial. That one is not installed on my reinstall under Resources. I doubt that matters, but?)

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Someone on matrix said that they had this issue, but because their SteamLibrary was stored on a different drive, their Campaign folder was there. Copying the files to that location worked for them apparently.

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
I've had the same problem as the others. None of the posted solutions work and now it appears that Slitherine and Matrix are just posting hyperlinks to each others "solution" threads. If its a simple matter that you have forgotten to include some photos in the last patch, then surely wouldn't it be a simple thing to include the photos in a new patch so I can get on with playing this absolutely amazing game. At the moment, its broken.
Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Thanks for the quick fix to this minor bug.
The Auto version with the executeable worked like a charm.

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
That did it! Thanks for the quick response! I chose the standard install, btw (from downloaded version, and I got the boxed set, not the Steam version).adherbal wrote: Please try this automatic hotfix instead:

Re: Solution: Campaign Event Stuck
Ok, the zip file that Boarspear posted worked. For me, I located the Campaign folder. If you cant find it then it might be a hidden folder so go to the properties folder and make sure that you set the properties so that you can see all your files. I then pasted the 2 images for the Burma Events as per the previous discussions. This in itself didn't work to get the game past the Burma Event freeze but after running the hotfix after I pasted the images the game is running properly again. Thanks for reposting adherbals hotfix Boarspear!!
