Unable to repair naval unit

Hi,
I am trying to repair a naval unit using a support ship adjacend to it, just as mentioned in the manual without any success.
Does anybody can help and let me know if there something i may be missing?

both unit must not be engage in combat a turn before the repair. Just park the support ship and move dmg ship next to it. If dmg ship have not fire or being fire upon a turn before then you can repair

I did that exactly without any change.
What do you mean park it and does it matter if the damaged ship is a cruiser?

Park means don't move it (the support ship, hence no mine laying, mine clearing and firing), make sure that dmg ship is not taking enemy fire while retreating or it will consider as in combat as well.

Support ship repairs all ship, DD, CA, BB, CV. Never tried sub yet

Dont know why it is not working for me. Does it matter if the supply ship is not a core unit?
I guess the game has some bugs, like the B26A airplane doesnt cost money in the boot camp
campaign. is there any patch for it?

Make sure that both the support ship and the one you want to repair has not moved the previous turn.
Neither of them must have attacked or been under attack as well.

Also, just to make sure: It doesn't work like the normal repair. You have to open the support ship, click on the repair button and then click on the ship you want to repair...

The same rules apply to a sub. I tried it in The Japanese campaign, I was actually surprised it work.

Did the sub repair submerged? (at some point submerged subs could spot planes )
I asked in beta that subs should only repair while surfaced.
