Hello, I have been searching in past topics about these questions but still doesn´t have a clear answer.
1- Mixed BG of Danish selected Levy (HF/MF), first rank of HF and second rank of MF. In close combat, MF fighting in second rank uses the same POAs as HF, but if the BG receives a casualty and a MF base has to fight in the first row, I assume it uses his own POAs. Is that right?
2- Mixed BG of Danish standard Levy (HF/LF), let´s say two ranks of three HF each and a third rank of three LF with bow.
Shooting phase: the LF bases can shoot normally, reducing their number of dice for being LF. They would shoot with... 1 or 2 dice?
Combat phase: the BG receives a casualty and a LF base has to fight in second rank. Does it still use front rank HF POAs? Does the base throw a dice in combat, or two LF bases are needed to be fighting in second rank to generate one combat dice?
Thank you,
Javier.

Also the third rank of archers really onl represents a single rank of bowmen and that would not produce significant shooting on the scale of the game.MikeK wrote:As Phil said, only on Impact. That is the motivating reason why the archers represented by the third rank were there - support shooting against attacking cavalry.moncholee wrote:Thank you for your answers.
Doesn´t the rules say that a third rank can shoot if armed with bow?
Where formations had more archers they tend to be either front rank HF spear or suchlike second rank MF bow or even both ranks MF bow with the front rank getting light spear.
