Is Midway battle Still Bugged?

Hi, just completed the midway battle as japan in the campaign game. However, there were no allied ships/CV's left (checked with orbitalcommand) and I did not achieve the victory for sinking all the CVs or routing the allied fleet. I thought that this had been fixed in the recent patch?

I think only Midway US was fixed. A few minutes ago I just ran into the exact same problem like you. All US forces dead, destruction of all carriers did not trigger objectiv.
No message about the enemy fleet routed either. However after I destroyed the last carrier the US-Navy started to move towards the exit hexes. I still got a victory at the end of the turn limit though. Maybe it's a lingering effect of Coral Sea (japan) variable not passed correctly?

Happens to me too since we all sunk 2 carrier at Coral. Still bug for the Japanese campaign sad which is why some people suggested don't sink both carrier at Coral as they are worth 200 credit IIRC if you sink it at Midway

The Aristocrats need talk to the brothers at Slitherine and tell them to put their money where their mouth is. This is a great game with very solid game mechanics, but overchallenging for just one single scenario designer. They need to hire at least a second scenario designer, so they can share the work load, exchange ideas, check each other work for bugs and playability from the design point of view.

Does it explicitly end in a defeat, or does it just not give you the victory right away? You should receive a victory at the end of the scn, as Dragoon wrote.

Fully agree with Dragoon, need funding or investor can buzz me hehehe I can always invest in a company that produce good games since I am a game addict.
