Editor Problems

Post by Anwer »

Hi. I was creating a map with the Editor. When i last openend the Editor and the map, i have a strange problem. All of a sudden i cant see the tiles anymore. When i click the mouse cursor on "Edit" and choose "Terrains" the window with the tiles is not vicible. The same for all others til Elevation.

Scenario Params til EFX Editor window are visible.

The windows dont come back. Even if i open a "new" map. Tried every thing.

I tried deinstalling but nothing changed. This seems funny. Can u tell me what to do, to make those Windows visible again?

The information regarding the editor layout, is stored in the Windows registry at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slitherine\Armageddon\Editor

If you delete this Editor folder inside Windows registry, it will reset the editor layout to the default parameters.

Perhaps there's another workaround, but this is the only one I know.

Hi. THX for the quick answer!!!

I cant find the folder u say.

I tried some things but didn t work. I play trhe game via STEAM. You mean the folder is in STEAM/ARMAGEDDON/?. Theere i couldn t find a Folder with the name EDITOR. Also i have a Folder ARMAGEDDON in USER/DOCUMENTS but there i can t find a folder named EDITOR. There are SCENARIOS with Maps and so.I tried to delete some maps ans so, but that didnt work.

What is HKEY_CURRENT?

Is registry the normal path where the Games is on the Drive?

It's not a folder in your hardrive, but in the Windows registry:

What is your Windows version? 32-bit or 64-bit?

I was going to create a reg cleaner for that specific key, but it appears you were able to edit it manually.
Good job. :)
