Expansion of BA or BA2

Post by Amused79 »

Debating purchasing one of the two. Either the expansion campaigns of BA or BA 2. Any suggestions?

Really depends where your interests lay. If you have a deep interest in the Soviet invasion then grabbing BA2 would be unquestionably the right move. BA2 also has things like multiple elevations for hills, trenches, partial damage for armour (so a tank can have its mg disabled, its tracks disabled, its gun disabled, can take damage to its ammo holds so it can only fire once instead of twice), some tanks can pop smoke now, all mortars and on map arty can pop smoke as well as engineer units. BA2 really has a good amount of new features.

However if you're interested in North Africa, the France campaign, Battle of the Bulge etc. Then grabbing an expansion campaign would be the way to go. I believe that BA2 is $40.00 on PC or $20.00 on Ipad (Ipad doesn't have the scenario creator to it), while the BA1 megapack includes about 5 expansion campaigns for $20.00.

Either or you won't make a wrong choice in my view.

Thanks for the advice Mac. The expansion was $30 for 6 campaigns which are normally $10 a piece. And it looks like the App Store offers both BA and BA2 in a combo pack. But if you already purchased BA. The combo pack is only $10! Nice deal. I guess I decided to do it in order and bought the expansion first. So off to France I go. But I'm anticipating that once I work my way through the tough 6 campaigns, I'm going to be excited to start BA2. I know I'm a bit late to the party, but really enjoying this game. Great work Slitherine!

On a side note I think it's pretty cool little idea that your avatar changes the more you post. Wonder how many posts it takes to get the King Tiger avatar. Got the SdKfz 222 now. Neat!

It will probably take me a bit longer to move through the game, since I don't move on to the next mission until I accomplish all the achievements too! Off I go. Thanks in advance guys, if you respond to my questions here and there.

That is a gross deal you got yourself haha. And you will wind up grabbing BA2, if you enjoy BA1 it's near impossible not to get BA2 I believe. Good luck!
