PBEM: USA dissapears, both players USSR

I recently acquired the game and I play it with a friend.

We started twice: me as USA, him as USSR.

After several turns, I log in and I find myself playing the soviet team! Even more strangely he keeps playing the very same soviet team! I finish my turn, the game uploads, he logs in and continues playing the soviets. If we keep going on like that, the game continues normally, with both of us playing the same team! US is nowhere to be found anylonger....

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Also, I do not know if it plays any role, but:

Until turn 35, my friend was playing the odd turns and I was playing the even turns. Suddenly, the order was reversed: I played an even turn as USSR and my friend kept playing USSR but now the even turns....

Please help!

By the way, we just try another game changing sides...me USSR, my friend USA. Guess what...I found myself playing with NASA after several turns! It is very confusing and frustrating and the whole game seems unplayable...

Welcome to the forums! We have dozens of active PBEM sessions and it's the first time I read a report like this, so I'm a bit puzzled. I took a look at the games list and found out that there were several matches against your friend Yimelos and yourself:

1) ColdWar created by Yimelos (NASA)
2) ColdWar created by dimitriszzz (NASA)
3) ColdWar created by Yimelos (Soviet)
4) ColdWar created by dimitriszzz (NASA)

You mention that at some point you were playing the same faction. Is it possible that when that happened you had several of those games active at the same time and that you were not resuming the game you thought you were? For example: you were playing the first game on the list as Soviets, but then inadvertently resumed game 3 (where Yimelos is playing as the Soviets)?

In any case, I'm creating a new private game so that you can join me and see if we can reproduce the issue. I'm also deleting all your resigned games, so that they no longer show up in your list. I'm sending you a private message with the password.

What you suggest is impossible, simply because I could not even see the older games...
