Good battle performance but poor geography - it was in Central-East.

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
In my current game with the Cave I appear to be facing a huge Royalst force.
According to what I have read from RBS, simply choosing the reinforcement option gives the reinforcing player a 120 point bonus.
In addition to that, setting the force balance to favor the reinforcing side by 100 points more should lead to an increase of 220 points for the reinforcing side.
If this is correct, I appear to be at an almost insurmountable disadvantage here.
Is this the actual situation? Or am I missing something?

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
I think we will need clarification from RBS. If you are correct, then your battle will restart as Open with the points set manually.

Thanks Richard. Bonus battles will need to be fought as Open with points set manually.rbodleyscott wrote:Sounds correct to me.keyth wrote:I think we will need clarification from RBS. If you are correct, then your battle will restart as Open with the points set manually.

Southw West
Deadtorius (23%) victorious vs Keyth (55%)
A resounding victory in the South West as the misguided locals are reminded exactly who is in charge here. The mighty hanky waving General Keyth got off to a good start stationing his troops up on a hill and shooting up my forces who were hiding among hedges on the low ground. Although some brave roundhead cavalry did charge up into a unit of musket men but were repulsed. However the musket unit did back off so it was a minor victory in the end. After several turns of indecision with Parliament pulling back further into the hedgerows as the Royalist forces beat up a few units and routed them in the woods on the Parliamentary right, Parliaments left and center decided a prayer meeting was called for and an extra dose of dour was handed out. The net result was a divine light illuminated the battlefield as the parliament horde stirred to life coming out of the hedges to shoot up a good portion of the Royalist force to fragged and eventually they were broken thanks to some well placed flank charges, and the Royalist army finally broke and fled the battlefield.
General Keyth was supposedly heard to say that the dice had buggered him as he protested some of his rear charges had less than spectacular results, we pointed out to him that it was not these so called dice but divine intervention that lead Parliament to victory, and also lots of blessed lead, shot in the general direction of the Royalists.
Thank you Keyth for a great game.

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
I saw the Black Sacrament being carried out by the rebels, I am sure of it!
Thanks for the game
Edit: I believe I used the word 'humped' rather then 'buggered' but the net effect is the same!

It was and made it to the spreadsheet in the correct location. The perfidy and lies of the traitors even extends to their posting of results!

Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
My apologies I must have written down the wrong zone from the list of battles. As for black sacrements, those were the black robes of our heavenly fathers moving about during our prayer meeting. I am surprised you did not notice the sudden divine light that flooded the battlefield prior to our stomping your hanky wavers.
Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
I have nothing but pity for the next people who have to fight in the mountainous terrain of North Wales.
The whole battlefield was covered with rugged terrain and woods.
Fortunately it was even more of a nightmare for the Royalist cavalry.
Our Most Dour Parliamentarian troops(Heroes all) have brought the foppish thugs of the would-be Tyrant to heel once again, 12% versus 43%.
But the terrain makes for a miserable time, slogging through much of it one step at a time.
Praise the Lord! And Pass the Ammunition!

I have a nice Spanish gentleman on my staff, a Signor de Torquemada, who looks forward to meeting your 'heavenly fathers' and testing their combustibility.deadtorius wrote:My apologies I must have written down the wrong zone from the list of battles. My wife and I will be visiting our estates in the East and visiting our grandchildren for a few days. I will probably be incommunicado until late on the twelfth of this month.....

What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Re: The Great Rebellion Campaign
South-West
Aryaman (royalist) won 2% vs 44% Iandavidsmith (Parliament) (+42%)
This is the real news from the SW. Despite rumours spread by some rebel leaders, the South-West remains the bulwark of the Royalist Cause now more than ever. Our army massed for an attack on the rebel left, and despite some initial setback, the enemy´s flank was smashed by our forces, routing rebel units in quick succesion.
