I registerd,too. And I played several games online. There are some players there during European continent and UK and US is night.
Which means early morning hours or sometime late in the night, here on the other side of the earth.
And I was defeated, in some cases totally, and now I'm waiting victors assure the results.

And there are lots of tecnics which I learned. Mingling archers and light infantry with missile protection is one of it. And how to envelop and how to deploy
is another thing I learned.

My personal favorite trick is to give one archer ranks in melee skills and some melee upgrades to protect the others. Catches my opponents of guard

Whoah, fatex, that's a kinky idea! With my luck, the archer rank would get jumped from the side opposite where I had my melee archers deployed.

I HATE watching the cavalry curl around my flank, seeing that my archers are about to get rudely sodomised, and not being able to do anything about it because all my units are engaged. This is one reason why I prefer Skirmishers/Javelinmen/Velites to Archers. There are many things Archers can do that javelin troops cannot, but when it comes to the melees, it's all one way.

Of course the obvious reply here is, "Possum, you dumbass, that's why you always keep a reserve". Yeah, I know. I do in MP, but usually not in SP. There never seem to be enough troops to do the job, let alone any left over for a reserve.
