flakfernrohr wrote:Thank you for all your hard work and effort Akkula. This kind of mod for the Eastern Front is my PZC passion. I have some understanding of just how much work and sweat even of the smallest type involves. I was in the final stages of over 22 maps of the Eastern Front for a "post Kursk" mod I called "Tankograd" when Chris10 was completing his beautiful mod several years ago. Chris10's mod was first class like your mod. I never finished mine expecting to be able to play Chris10's mod. So I thank you for this mod and the one you are going to finish for the Eastern Front. I truly hope a person can play either side in your mod, Soviet or German/Axis. :)
Thank you very much for your kind words friend! :D. So far the new scenario will be Soviet playable only, maybe in the future I could work in German version of it :) (but I hope McGuba don´t get angry :P ) . I am thinking in a LOT of ideas so the map is going to be heavily trigger dependent.... very difficult for a 2 sides scenario I think. But lets see how everything goes!.
Thanks again.
the_finger wrote:Thanks for this great mod, Akkula! I start to play today and really enjoy. :D
But I have a question for the Tallinn scenario...
No ships or transports appear to bring them to area "A". Any suggestions what i made wrong?
Tallin, Saku and Kehra are in my hands and the germans just took Loksa...
Mhhh, did you download the 1.00 version?. That was an issue of the earlier versions, I thought I fixed long ago. Please use the "endscn 0" cheat so you can advance in the campaign... you deserve it after hold the three cities!
Thanks for your comments! :D

Wow thanks!. I am glad you like it. I am still working to improve it, so any comment is always useful!.

Akkula wrote:Hi friends, finally I am releasing the first full version of my project. After almost a year of hard work I think I can call this a "final" version, of course I will continue updating it for those who are interested (some things remain to be fixed or improved).
Right now I am fully committed with my big Eastern Front scenario which I will release along the Mod sometime during this year (with luck :D )
Yay! Only why didn't you do this last week when I hadn't gotten back to my own projects?

Also would you like to have a modified copy of my quests telegram from the WWI grand map so that STAVKA can issue quests in your big map?

Just add some text in the bottom part of the telegram to display the orders you are sending the player, and then add it to a message. If you want a quest-based one more similar to the WWI version, I can make that up as well/

The bottom font was probably Courier, the top on I can't remember.

Hope you can put it to good use!

Just checked, it was courier for the top bit and 'WST_Engl' for the bottom bit. Though you are free to use whatever when adding stuff to it.

Surely these are more realistic than random text boxes appearing out of thin air?

Beautiful :D

I am still gathering info and stuff for the scenario.
So far I am finishing the terrain edition and adding more cities and starting to work in some more new units (in addition to the ones of Soviet Storm). I am looking for some oil field tiles, I don´t know if someone created one, I looked on the forum but I couldn´t find any.... so I am trying to do my own but I don´t like the results so far

Battlefield Europe has an Oil Field Tile. Maybe you could use that?

I just downloaded the last version and I am digging into it, but I can´t find any. I will re double my efforts! :D . And ask permission to McGuba if I find it, I am pretty sure that is best than my attempt.

EDIT: Nevermind, I think the one McGuba uses it is already in the Massi´s Mod. It seems I missed it :D

I would expect it to be in Terrain/LayersOverlays. Otherwise it will be somewhere in the Terrain folder in Graphics.

Massi's Massive Destruction Mod has the most impressive graphics in this game, hands down. When he was making the latest version a couple of years ago, he got on the forum and asked for input from ALL of us. I think he made a tile for every damned one of our requests and plenty of extras of his own imagination. What a great gift to us all.

Hi Akula,
I am having a ton of fun playing your mod. Makes me wonder if Soviet Corps can measure up. I am up to Operation Mars and I have a question.

Most of my units have had their experience frozen since Demyansk. Any unit above 235 was frozen while units below 200 gained until they reached 230. I noticed in some of your screen shots earlier in the thread you had 3 star units at Sinyavino and Mars. Did you update the experience limits since then? I didn't want to play too much further if there was something wrong with my game and I need to re-start. I started playing with your final beta. I updated to 1.0 for Sinyavino and nothing changed.

Thanks again for a great mod,
Phil

Hi Phil. I am very happy you are enjoying the campaign :D , thank you for your encouraging words!.
Regarding the units experience, don´t worry, in the next scenarios you will start to see the results. I deliberately set this "slow" experience gain to balance the Soviet tanks performance against the AI forces, the old screenshots were very early stages of the design, I adjust the limits afterwards.
By 1943 you will get 3 star veteran units :D (this apply for both the final beta and the full releases)

Thanks Akula that's what I thought.

I forgot one other question. We really like the music you added. Who is the composer?

Glad to clarify your question Phil.
The music are Russian traditional songs, some balalaika improvisations and Soviet era music (WW2 specifically), I don´t recall all the composers but I will send you a PM later (I have to research again  ). For the next big release I expect to add some more tracks.

I took a tiny break from the terrain edition for my big scenario and I started to work in some new units:

Breslau Fortress:

Poznan Fortress:

The Su-6, only few prototypes were made but in the Mod you will be able to buy it (at a very high cost)

(Based on Bebro´s Su-2)

Some naval nets to blockade the Soviet subs!. (Also my new Gnevny destroyer icon)

The Pe-3 long range fighter (based on the Bebro Pe-2)

Previously I included the NIght Witches and Niemen-Normadie Squadrons, now I introduce you the 95th Air Regiment (Pe-3´s)

Next weeks I will make the "official" presentation of my new evolution of Soviet Storm.

Best regards.
Akkula.
