A routing unit is catch during the impact phase by a cavalry unit, is this cav unit have to conform during the movement phase due to the fact that there is no combat?

[[Corrected per Olivier: Impact gets you in contact, but there is no Impact Phase combat.]]

The attackers reform themselves in the manoeuvre phase, but they are not in close combat in this phase since their opponents were already broken at the end of the Impact Phase, so don't conform to the routers.

Then the routers and attackers rout/pursue normally (or the pursuers roll to rally from pursuit if desired) in the Joint Action Phase, when another router base may be lost if the pursuers maintain contact.

OK thanks for your answer, so in this case the router flees in the direction of the charge in the next joint action phase.

Broken troops don't lose a base in the impact phase, only in JAP if their pursuers catch them.

Does that mean that a shock troop could be impetuous on broken troops ?
