Am i correct to assume that an aircraft carrier can launch only one plane per turn?

Yes, similar to regular hangars.
Some of us beta testers (mainly me :D ) has lobbied for multiple launches of some sort.

The reason is that it forces you to manage your aircraft launches carefully:

- When an enemy strike force manages to sneak up on your carriers or airfield, you can't just "warp in" every aircraft in a single turn. One unit can take-off and the rest may take damage from the air attack while sitting on the carrier/airfield.
- When preparing to attack the enemy carriers, you have to choose between moving in every aircraft as soon as it takes off - but that means arriving at the target piecemeal - of spending a few turns around the carrier to "form up" your strike force. This off course goes at the cost of time and fuel reserves.

While it may a bit feel restrictive, I think these provide interesting - and realistic - gameplay situations.
