Merging versions

Post by TipX71 »

I have Panzer Corps : Wehrmacht on CD for my PC, and recently purchased Panzer Corps : Allied Corps for my laptop (not least as it does not have a CD Rom drive). Both serials have been registered via Slitherine/Matrix.

Is there any way I can combine both versions onto one machine (or better have both base games/expansions on each device)?

Allied Corps for example does know of the Wehrmacht expansion, based on the appearance and functionality of the background to the menu screen, however I cannot see any way to download by telling it I have already paid.

Any assistance?

You can install both games on both your computers using the same serials. Obviously you can only play online with one of the devices at the same time but you could even alternate playing the same game form your PC from home and your laptop when traveling if you wish so.

For the laptop without a CD-drive just copy the contents of the CD onto an USB-stick or USB-HD on your PC and install from there. When installing both games on the same computer they will automatically integrate into each other. Don't forget to apply the latest patch after installing both games.

Thanks - that worked a treat.

For anybody referring to this post in the future, I uninstalled the all version from both the PC and the laptop, then reinstalled in the order Wehrmacht (1.10) -> Allied Corps (1.20) -> Update (1.22).

The only issue I now have is the the splash screen where you select which version of the game to play on the laptop (Windows 8.1, 3200x1800 32dpp) displays in an offset position (the words PanzerCorps is cut in half, with 'Scenario' at the top edge of the screen, and a remnant of the 'Menu' screen still showing at the bottom. This does not occur on the PC, and as far as I can see the 'in-game' maps etc display fine.

[In interests of clarity this is the screen which displays when you select 'New Game' when the game starts up.]

Any suggestions what might be causing this?

Probably your DPI settings are bigger than 96 (Smaller - 100%). Set it 100% and check if the issue persists.
