My current view is that it should be any list from Colonies and Conquest except:
Ikko Ikki
Ethiopian
Zanj
Horn of Africa
Maori and Pacific Island Cultures
Hawaiian
Wokou Pirates
These all fall outside of the specified geographic area or are pre-1600. Additionally:
Colonial Portuguese
Colonial Dutch
would only be allowed as allied contingents, not as the main army.

Re: Derby 3 et 4 October 2015
Bonjour
Voila les règles et les armées pour FOG AM :
FOG(AM) Competition at World Team Championships, Derby 2015
The rules used will be the published version 2 of FOG together with the latest errata.
Scoring will be as per the score calculation sheet published on www.fieldofglory.com. Copies will be available at the competition. Scoring will be taken literally as shown on the sheet.
There will be 4 rounds of competition. Check-in is from 8:45 to 9:15 on Saturday with 1st round starting at 9:30, 2nd round at 2:00. On Sunday, round 3 starts at 9:00 and round 4 at 1:30. Games may start earlier than the designated time if both players agree, in which case the end time is unchanged.
This will be a team competition. Entries are invited from teams of 3 people, each of whom should be entered into a different pool. Entries are also welcome from individuals, who will be combined into teams at the organiser’s discretion. It would be appreciated if any individual entrants could be flexible as to the pool they enter to assist this process. Due to the team nature of the competition, individuals cannot be guaranteed entrance, although every effort will be made to accommodate those who want to play.
Pools will be themed as follows. Figure scale is 15mm.
Pool #1 – Remus & Romulus (800 points)
From the foundation of Rome to the battle of Cannae 509 BC to 216 BC. Armies must be drawn from those listed below and must be dated in the range specified. Any allied contingents may be drawn from other lists as permitted by the main list and are therefore not limited to those below, provided that they also fall within the specified date range. No army may contain more than 5 battle groups of superior and elite troops.

Byzantine armies and their contemporaries from the accession of Basil I to the throne in 867AD, until the end of the death of Basil II in 1025 AD. Armies must be drawn from those listed below and must be dated in the range specified. Competition Rules
Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table.
Table size is 6' x 4' and players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard, and the umpire will have the discretion to remove unsightly items. In addition all figures must be representative and painted and based to an acceptable standard.
Players must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time. Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes, after which time the affected player will be awarded a bye and the late player 0 points. No player will be awarded more than one bye for any reason. A bye will carry 10 points for the duration of the tournament and will be adjusted at the end by inserting instead the average of the player’s real results, except that this may not be less than 10.
If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded maximum points, and they will be awarded 0 points.
Time will be called after between 3 hours and 3 hours 15 mins playing time from the published start time. When time is called, play will continue until the end of the turn of the player who moved second, such that both players will have had an equal number of turns. Play will stop immediately before the joint action phase following this.
The draw will be made by team. This year an accelerated Swiss system will be used as follows:
1. All teams will be ranked according to their ELO scores as published on the official FOG ranking website as at 1st September 2015.
2. Teams will then be grouped into 2 equally-sized pools based on their aggregate ELO score, pool “A” containing the highest ranking teams, pool “B” the lowest.
3. In the first round, teams in pool A will be drawn against each other at random, teams in pool B likewise will be matched at random
4. In round 2, the winning teams from pool A games will be drawn against each other, the losing teams from pool B games will be drawn against each other. Losers from pool A games will be drawn against winners from pool B games.
5. Rounds 3 & 4 will revert to the normal Swiss system based on each team’s aggregate score.
Modifications to the above may be necessary depending on the number of teams entered.
Army List Format
Army lists should preferably be submitted by e-mail to the organiser, Marc Lunn (MLu120@aol.com) in excel AT LEAST 2 weeks before the date of the competition (so by 19th September please). Please do not send lists in with the competition entry. Anyone submitting a late list will be “outscouted” (for the first round only) and will deploy their entire army before their opponent, irrespective of the initiative roll. Once submitted, lists may not be amended except to correct errors identified by the list checker.
The list should clearly identify:
Participant name (plus e-mail address for communication) and Team
Army name and date
Pre-Battle Initiative Modifier
Geographical region, specific general, etc. where appropriate
Total Battle Groups
Army break point
For each battle group:
Order of March
Total number of bases
Full description of troops including type, armour, quality, training and POAs
Cost per base

Et celle de FOGR
FOG Renaissance Competition at World Team Championships, Derby 2015
The rules used will be the published version of FOG Renaissance together with the latest errata (currently v1.09).
Scoring will be as per the score calculation sheet published on www.fieldofglory.com. Copies will be available at the competition.
There will be 4 rounds of competition, the relevant times are shown below:
Saturday Start Finish
Check-in 08:45 09:15
Round 1 09:30 12:45+
Round 2 14:15 17:30+
Sunday
Round 3 09:00 12:15+
Round 4 13:00 16:15+
+ = a random time of up to 15 minutes.
General Information
This is a team competition. Entries are invited from teams of 3 people, each of whom should be entered into a different pool. Entries are also welcome from individuals, however, due to the nature of the event these will need to be combined into teams at the organiser’s discretion. It is not possible to play as a single entrant. It would be appreciated if any individual entrants could be flexible as to the pool they enter to assist this process. Due to the team nature of the competition, individuals cannot be guaranteed entrance, although every effort will be made to accommodate those who want to play. If you wish to enter as an Individual, please contact me, Kevin Johnson (kevinj@btinternet.com) so that I can help to arrange this. Alternatively, the Slitherine Fog R Forum Tournament section (viewforum.php?f=109) can be used for individuals seeking teams or existing teams seeking additional members.
Pools and Themes for 2015
Pools will be themed as follows:
Pool 1. 25mm/28mm scale.
Europe in Flames. Europe during the Thirty Years War (TYW) and English Civil War (ECW). 1618 – 1649. 700 Points.
Permitted Armies:
Wars of Religion: Any army.
Clash of Empires: Cossack, Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth, Later Ottoman Turkish, Early Gustavan Swedish.
This pool will use 25mm armies with a 40mm Movement Unit for Movement, Shooting and Command distances and a 1 inch Movement Unit for Terrain, Deployment and Threatened Flank effects. (This was the balance used for Roll Call).
Pool 2. 15mm scale.
The Restoration. Europe 1660 – 1698. 850 Points.
Permitted Armies:
Clash of Empires: Cossack, Later Ottoman Turkish.
Duty and Glory: Any army.
Armies must contain:
1) At least 3 Battlegroups of mounted Battle Troops, or all of the Mounted Troops permitted by the list.
2) At least as many BGs of Average or Poor battle troops as there are Superior or Elite BGs for both Foot and Mounted categories.
3) Artillery and Commanded Shot are not included for the purposes of these calculations.
Pool 3. 15mm scale.
The Middle East and Asia. 1600 - 1698. 750 points.
Permitted Armies:
Any list from Colonies and Conquest except Ikko Ikki, Ethiopian, Zanj, Horn of Africa, Maori and Pacific Island Cultures, Hawaiian, Wokou Pirates
Additionally Colonial Portuguese or Colonial Dutch are only allowed as allied contingents, not as the main army.
Tournament Specific Conditions
Armies and the options chosen must be within the specified dates (inclusive) for the pool. Allies may be included from lists not specified but the overall army must still conform to any pool specific restriction.
For all pools the army must include 6 bases of Foot Battle troops (in BGs of 6 or greater) per base of Medium or Heavy Artillery.
Medium or Heavy Artillery may not be deployed so that it can shoot at any Battlegroup wholly within the outer 12 inch area of the table. In other words, it would need to be deployed at least 12 inches plus 2 base widths from the edge and not be angled so that it could shoot into the 12 inch area.
An Uncontrolled Artillery BG may be removed in the JAP by either player provided they have a BG of Battle Troops, any part of whose front edge is in contact with the artillery, and which is not in close combat with any other BG. If removed, it counts as lost to the original owner.
Pool Points
Each pool has a nominal limit as shown above. However, players may donate up to 5 unused points to the other players in their team; e.g. A Pool 2 army is 844 points, the other players in that team may use up to 5 of those points in excess of the nominal maximum. No army may exceed the nominal limit by more than 10 points. No Team’s three armies may exceed 2300 points in total.
General Playing Conditions
If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded 25 points, and they will be awarded 0 points.
Time will be called after 3 hours 15 minutes playing time from the published start time, plus a random variable amount of up to 15 minutes. When time is called, play will cease at the end of the current Phase.
The draw will be made by team. The first round will be drawn at random, except that teams from the same club will not be drawn together. Thereafter, the usual modified Swiss Chess system will be used based on the aggregate score for each team, the only exclusion being that no teams will play each other more than once.
Army List Format
Army lists should be submitted by e-mail to the organiser, Kevin Johnson (kevinj@btinternet.com), preferably in Excel format, AT LEAST 2 WEEKS before the date of the competition. Please do not send lists in with the competition entry. If you do not already have it, the BAD Wargamers’ website (http://www.badwargamers.org.uk/) has an ideal spreadsheet on the Downloads page.

Anyone submitting a late list will be “outscouted” (for the first round only) and will deploy their entire army before their opponent, irrespective of the initiative roll. Once submitted, lists may not be amended except to correct errors identified by the list checker.
