I think you've missed the start of the list Tim?

I counted 24 players and I should be one of them.

always incompetant more like. I'll only be attending once. I've touted my ticket to Steve Murton, though he's going to be playing in FOGN

Nah, not even close. We had more than 50 back in 2009.

For anyone who hasn't yet booked, and we would love to get the numbers for FOG AM back up to the 2009 levels ... :D , come and get in quick please.

By way of reminder, this year The Challenge is back to residential, which makes the 5th round much more enjoyable/bearable [delete for your preference]. Cost of b&b student room is £32 per night, or £42 for full board. The full board (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) is really good value, so get in there quick. The Uni will be offering PAYG for the meals so you can join in with your mates on the night, but they're in the region of £8 per meal, so full board you get £16 of hot meals for a tenner!

As always, we are open on Friday (and could do with plenty of willing hands to help set up tables etc.). Friday is a great day for practice games, grudge matches, etc. In the past we have hosted demo games and a few rounds of DBMM 100s, for example.

Chris Hanley has confirmed that Biggles will be Flying Unzipped on Friday, which is one of the major highlights of my wargaming year. There are only limited seats in those crates, however, so make sure that you are there and your flying googles are packed if you want to take part. But someone save me a space!

Beer (and other forms of refreshment) *will* be available at the venue. Sadly, the BHGS beer fridge didn't survive the change of venue from Ascot, but the Uni is providing and stocking one, and there is also a bar on campus not too far from the hall(s).

For Saturday evening, the post 3rd-match wind-down period, please feel free to bring along a favourite board game, card game or anything else you think that would go down well with a few similar souls. Or just a bottle or two of wine, some glasses and a tall tale or two. Games-wise, something suitable for 3-game frazzle ... Diplomacy or Civilisation is probably a bit OTT! If someone reminds me in the run-up, I will pack Mordred and Shadows over Camelot, two superb (and very different) Arthurian-inspired games.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
