Re: Roll Call 2015
Or put another way, Keith S (in 15mm period) couldn't make it and Dene (on the reserve list), wanted to play 25mm (which was Jim's preference). So to keep even numbers, Jim switched to 25mm, with Dene, which with 8 players gives both a better comp and full Roll Call ranking points!!!
Happy?!

Simon and Jim: strong players who would have bought well balanced armies.
Either Ray if his LOA machine gun units throw a reasonable amount of hits, or kevin if he wins the impacts...
I don't fancy the samuria chances with the amount of impact foot about.... Paul, I suspect our game will be a very bloody Samuari Feast..

My predicts will be Jim, Kevin and Simon with Ray as an outside if he can borrow Jim's "magic" dice

I'm not bringing mine either - I'll see it for the first time tomorrow morning, which will be my first game with big toys since last Roll Call!

Yes that was always a risk brining Samurai. Assuming reasonably even dice (always in doubt) I predict one of us may will our best score in or first game and it'll be all downhill from there. Still the Samurai Vs Samurai game will be the prettiest of the weekend.

Cosmetics are everything
Ray's lending me most of the army. It will certainly be a pretty battle...

Re: Roll Call 2015
Attached are the 15mm FOGR results frtom Roll Call. Congrats again to Alasdair on another good win and especially to Dave Parish for steering the Hungarian Transylvanians to a creditable 2nd spot. My submarining skills grabbed me a lucky 3rd spot.

Re: Roll Call 2015
And now the 25mm Results. Big congratulations to my teammate Jim for winning the "Big Boys Toys" event having led from start to finish. Kevin proved in 25mm that submarining is a great way to get on the podium and pipping Dene to second place.
Thanks to all for a great weekend

7-21-3-25 "submarining"?
That's more pogo-stick-riding than submarining !

Re: Roll Call 2015
I played with a foot army, still recovering from the shock of it, thanks to all my opponents for good games, even boxed myself in for one game so know what it feels like
Thanks to Don and Jeremy Morgan for organising it
Cheers
