Is this done automatically or do i need to go some where to download it? I can't find it on a web search.

automatically if you say yes to the beta on the game tab in steam

Ok.

I went to the steam library.
Right clicked on Sovereignty and selected Properties.
Clicked on the Beta tab.
There is a drop down menu on that tab and I selected Beta.
Then I either selected download or it downloaded the patch.
Game didn't work the first time I went into it but worked the second time I tried.
