Beta patch 1.1 Available

The team have been working hard and already have a first update for you! There is a new beta patch available. For the time being, the new build will be available from the beta branch.

To take part in the beta please follow these instructions.

-Go to your games library where all your games are located.
-Click on the game Sovereignty: Crown of kings to make it highlighted
-Right click on the game name, and a menu should come up.
-Left click on "properties"
-Now you should be able to see the "Betas" tab on the rightmost side
-you should now see a pull down menu with the title "Select the beta you would like to opt into".
-click on the down arrow to see the pull down menu of "beta - public beta" and left click it.
-Now close this window and you should be able to see your games library again.
-You should also be able to see that the game Sovereignty: Crown of Kings is now in this mode [beta]
-Now just start it up as usual and continue to enjoy the game. All saves should be working correctly and you should be able to run the game with the bug fixes.
-If you want to opt out of beta, just follow these steps again to go to the non-beta version.

Added resolution selection option on first run

If you are having issues with the display settings (monitor displaying "out of range, blank screen, flickering/flashing, etc), there is now a fix for this problem. Simply go to your My Documents\Sovereignty folder and delete the "settings.cfg" file - this will force the game to auto-detect your resolution again.

You will be shown a list of possible display modes which you can select from, as well as the option to disable full screen mode, try selecting a mode which you know your monitor is capable of (if unsure, we recommend a low resolution and windowed mode initially, which is virtually guaranteed to work)

It has to be applied in steam - if you don't want to opt in to the beta update, you can simply wait and it will be pushed to the main branch at some stage (at which time steam will auto-update it for you). If you want it sooner, the instructions in the original post tell you how to set steam to use the beta branch.
