Space Program Manager iOS is updated to V. 1.4.20
Hi guys,
The iOS version of Space Program Manager has been updated to V. 1.4.20!
You can upgrade it directly by visiting the app store.
Here’s the changelog:
v 1.4.20
• Fixed a bug with the Steam achievements for the GSA
• Changed the computation for the cost of hiring Tiger Teams: now it’s computed as the mission cost divided by the number of launches. This makes the cost of hiring more reasonable in missions that span multiple launches.
• Fixed a bug in the mission rendering code that was causing graphical glitches in some missions.
• Added check for unassembled missions when running in tutorial mode. This was fixed based on a
bug reported here.
• Changed the programs entries in the ‘Program Categories’ screen inside the HQ so that it display the maintenance cost as the sum of the program maintenance cost plus the mission components maintenance cost, instead of just the program maintenance cost.
• Fixed incompatibility scenario for games created prior to 1.4.0 patch, as reported here.
• iOS only: Fixed a bug that prevented the creation of PBEM games.

Hello kzonking,
Do the missions that are now failing every time in the new version used to succeed in your previous version of the game?

In the earlier version the missions were successfull although the efficiency was way lower than now. For example i have now 94% efficiency is not successfull when in the older version 87% were enough to not fail. After the hard landing on the moon mission the game blackscreens but sound is still working.
Re: Space Program Manager iOS is updated to V. 1.4.20
Are you running the exact same savefile that you used to run in the previous version of the game and you're getting a different outcome this time? If no, notice that just because a certain mission succeeded at one point with 87%, doesn't mean that the next time it's going to succeed too, even if the reliability is even higher.
And sorry I forgot to ask this in my previous post: which mission is the one that is showing you a black screen? Is it a robotic lunar mission? A manned lunar program?

Mission luna17 lunchod2 / robotic mission not manned .
I try both ( old save file and an new after update).
Even when the project is fully developed ( rocket fully developed too) is fails.

Regarding Luna 17: if you're playing the game in German, that's a known issue that has already been fixed and is part of the next update, which will be submitted to Apple soon (see the changelog here.
Regarding the missions: I'll look into it. The fact that the rocket and the payload are fully developed doesn't guarantee success either (unless their reliability is 100%). Do the missions always fail in the first step? Does hiring 'Tiger Teams' make any difference?

Yes missions always fail in the first step. Tiger Teams make a difference but i have to hire them every time multiple times (3 or 4 times in one mission) and even then the missions fail often.
My reliability never comes above 94-96%, how do you get 100%?

Re: Space Program Manager iOS is updated to V. 1.4.20
OK, I will check. Make sure your Flight Controllers are skilled as well, since they make a lot of difference in the mission outcome.
The only way to get a 100% reliability is by tweaking the data files. What I tried to explain in my previous post is that the only way for you to be completely sure that a mission is not going to fail is to have a 100% reliability. You might have launch a mission with 60% reliability and succeed, and then launch it again with 99% reliability and still fail. That's how probabilities work.

Re: Space Program Manager iOS is updated to V. 1.4.20
It seems like I cannot end a season in multiplayer for iOS. When I click "End Season" the data is not sent to the server and I get stuck on the PBEM chat screen. I cannot post a message because an error appears saying "You are not a player in the game, do you want to retry the upload?" with options "Retry" and "Cancel and return to lobby." If I select retry, then I get the same error. If I cancel, I am returned to the lobby and my progress is not saved.
When I'm in the game, I can open the menu and " Return to lobby" which will send my progress to the server, so it seems that this problem is only occurring when I try to end my season. So I constantly remain the active player.

Hello all,
@kzonking, I've downloaded the game from iTunes and tested it using a savefile I have that successfully accomplishes the Soyuz lunar landing mission. The mission executed fine on my iPad and its outcome was successful. Try checking the skill of your flight controllers, as I suspect that might be the reason behind the failures from your missions.
@am_percival, I've duplicated your game instance and came across the same message you reported. This is the first time I get this error, so please let me e-mail Andrea, the engineer behind the PBEM server, so that he can provide me some guidance. I'll keep you posted.
